The Top Players

Participants in the UA150 are the top players in their graduation year, not merely the first to register and pay.  Unlike other scouting events, the UA150 uses an application based invitation only system.  The UA150 begins with an application process open to all qualified 2027, 2028 and 2029 girls’ lacrosse players.  In depth applications, thorough coaches’ recommendations and an extensive expert panel review ensure that only the absolute best applicants receive a coveted UA150 invitation!

Professional Combine Training

Speed and agility combine testing will be conducted by Parisi Speed School, the national leader in performance enhancement training for the past twenty years!  Athletes will perform in several professionally timed events, with individual scores ranked and made readily available to college coaches attending the Under Armour 150.

Parisi Combine Format
  • Speed and agility stations will consist of:
    • 40 yard dash:  The 40 is comprised of several different phases including the stance, start, first step, acceleration, maximum velocity and the finish.  Each phase must be perfected to obtain optimal results.  All athletes will start in a 3 point stance.  Athletes must be able to hold position for 2 seconds before running
    • 5/10/5 pro agility drill:  The 5/10/5 is a great measure of lateral agility, quickness and hip mobility.  More then any other test, the 5/10/5 helps coaches see an athlete’s range of real world, game like movements such as the ability to accelerate, decelerate and accelerate again in a small space.  Athletes must touch each turn line for a valid score.
    • Vertical jump:  The vertical jump test measures an athlete’s explosiveness in a vertical direction.  The test is a coordinated skill involving a rapid exchange between eccentric and concentric actions.  Athletes will not be allowed to run, jump or hop before jumping for the flags.
    • Hardest shot:  Using their lacrosse stick, each athlete will throw the ball as hard as possible into the net to determine speed and power.
    • Kneeling medicine ball throw:  Using a 2 kg medicine ball and starting in a kneeling position, the athlete will throw a chest pass as far as possible. The kneeling medicine ball throw is a great measure of upper body strength.  Athletes will be set up laying down with hips lined up to the start line.  Athletes will start at tall kneeling position.
    • 200 yard shuttle:  The 200 yard shuttle is a great measure of sport specific conditioning.  The athlete will sprint 20 yards (20 yards down, 20 yards back) 5 times at top speeds.  Athletes must touch the lines with either their foot or hand at ever turn (except for start and finish) for a valid score.
  • Accepted athletes will rotate through speed and agility testing stations with their teams, but will compete individually.
  • Athletes will be tested at the beginning of one of the two UA150 days.  Athletes will NOT be tested when they are fatigued after game play.
  • Scores from the combine will be recorded and ranked among participants.
  • Scores will be made readily available to registered college coaches.
