Mary began her coaching career in 1990 as the assistant coach for the Broadneck Bruins for both field hockey and lacrosse. At Broadneck, she coached players, Michelle Meyers and Betsy Given who went on to become College All Americans at Loyola University. After Broadneck, Mary became the Varsity Head Coach at Mount de Sales Academy, in Catonsville, MD where she coached the Sailors for a total of 9 years. First from 1997-2002 then again from 2012-2015. 
In 2000, Mary earned Coach of the Year honors from the Baltimore Sun.  Many of the Sailor lacrosse players Mary has coached are successful in their college careers.

Currently the head coach at St Paul’s where she led them to the championship game in 2019.
She coached Gail Decker: 2004 Tewaaraton Award Finalist, 2x Tewaaraton Nominee, 4x All American, 2004 JMU Most Valuable player & CAA Player of the Year 
She coached Julianna Shearer: 2016 2nd Team Big East, Marquette Single Season Goal leader, current player
She coached Mandy Ignacio, 2014 Under Armour All American, current Loyola University player
She coached Eve Lukowski: 2016 Bucknell Goal Scoring Leader.
For the 2016 IAAM Lacrosse Season, Mary co-coached with Mac Ford at Notre Dame Prep where she helped lead the Blazers to a winning season and a top 10 finish (#7) in the 2016 Baltimore Sun’s High School Lacrosse Poll.  
Mary has been coaching for M&D Lacrosse Club for the past 8 years. This is her 7th year as the head coach of the M&D 21 Black Team.
